Stingrays and Rockpools

On the 21st Tom, Jacob and I caught up with the boat. We got there at 12. I went off with Mum and the crew and we had lunch at a local cafe. The place was decorated with various postcards from around the world and the windows opened up to the sea. My guitar finally got moved onto the boat, as did my laptop and the stuff I brought with me to the city. We said goodbye to the crew as well as the car and they drove off back to Melbourne.

At some point we went on a walk and found a super awesome Rockpool. In total, I spent only two days in Eden. So from what I’ve seen, it is a very hilly place, as well as having tons of marine life. There was a small motor boat slip down one side of the marina where loads of stingrays warm themselves in the shallow waters. My favourite part was that they weren’t afraid of humans. We found out from a man driving by that the fisherman feed the stingrays from the slip. That also explains why the stingrays were do big, most of them were roughly a metre wide. There were all different types too, some with barbs on the tips of their tails, some with barbs towards the middle. I think the best part about Eden was watching Jacob’s horrified face when he was night fishing and a stingray swam right up to him and he thought it was a shark.
