Yesterday we went to amazing place called JJ’s at the Marina, where I struggled with an intense question…
Do I get the small, mug or bowl of chai latte?
The answer should be obvious, the BOWL!
The waitress looked taken aback and clarified that I wanted the bowl.
Tom and Dad were laughing super hard and Mum and Jacob were smirking.
Of course I want the bowl of chai latte.
The man who brought it over seemed super shocked that I got the bowl of chai latte and asked me if this was my breakfast.
Everyone started laughing. No one thought I’d finish it but I love chai latte’s too much. I love that place even more because usually when I go to a cafe with Mum and she orders a hot chocolate and I order a chai latte and they give her the chai and me the hot chocolate. Then we awkwardly swap cups and shock the waitress, that yes, my mum likes hot chocolate, and yes, I like fancy sounding drinks. But not today! The chai latte belongs to me! Do you shock people by your taste in foods?Let me just say the chai latte was AMAZING!

Yesterday I was learning Northern Downpour [by Panic! at the Disco] on my AKAI MPK mini, I’m trying to learn how to play the guitar as well, but as it’s so bulky, It’s attached to my wall with bungie cords, so I don’t get crushed by it’s massive case when we sail. So far I’ve just been playing my keyboard because it’s so small and connects to my laptop. I don’t have any tutorial books for my keyboard or guitar, I mainly learn from tutorial videos on YouTube and a website called; https://www.ultimate-guitar.com

Yes this sort of keyboard looks like a fancy kids keyboard, but I’m going to answer some questions I’ve received about it.
How do you play a complete song when you only have part of a keyboard?
A: There are two buttons, octave down, and octave up, which control the part of keyboard I’m playing on, octave up makes the pitch higher and octave down makes the pitch deeper, so thus, I have a whole keyboard, there isn’t any waiting time to change the octave, so I can play full songs that take up a whole regularly sized keyboard.
What do those squares do?
A; The squares are called pads, and if I have wobble [an app that programs my keyboard] installed onto my computer, I can program the pads to make certain sounds. The same goes for the K’s.
What about the K’s, what are K’s?
A: The K’s are the little dials, I have 8 on mine and just like the pads I can program them to do certain things, what makes them different is K’s don’t usually make a sound, they edit a sound I’m playing on the regular keyboard keys, for example, my K6 controls the volume.
Why do you run it off your laptop?
A: An easier answer is that the keyboard doesn’t have a speaker., but honestly, even if it did I’d still use my MacBook, because then I can program my sounds and change the keyboard style, I can even make my keyboard sound like a guitar. As well as being able to record songs on GarageBand.
I still have no idea why I can light my keyboard up, but hey, it looks cool.

Later on when it was dark I felt like going for a walk, and Dad decided to come with me, so guess where we ended up?
JJ's at the Marina.
AGAIN.
I even saw my awesome chai latte bowl guy and when we told him we came back for another chai latte, he asked if I'd eaten at all that day and that a chai latte doesn't contain carbohydrates and the necessities to live off of.

Honestly the thing I love most about traveling is that I get to meet some pretty awesome people. Another example of this is how we made friends with Roger and Jan and their dog Trevor when we were in Eden, and now here we are, at Bateman's Bay, three stops later with them. It's great how Roger was giving me tips on making this blog more appealing to a wider audience, like in the yacht community.
